The 2024 STEM Poster Contest
For almost 30 years, the Annual STEM Poster Contest has become a State Science Fair tradition. Students do not need to be science fair participants to enter. The annual contest encourages students from grades 6-12, under the guidance of their dedicated teachers, to think artistically about science and engineering. A panel of judges, with backgrounds in graphic design, textiles, media and/or art come together to select the Top 3 posters from each division (SR Division: grades 9-12, JR Division: grades 6-8). The top 3 winners in each division are awarded cash prizes. The winning poster is featured on the cover of the Hawaii State Science & Engineering Fair program the following year. Applications for the 2024 STEM Poster Contest is now OPEN. This year’s theme is MATHEMATICS. Please complete registration and read instructions carefully. Submissions are due by March 1, 2024.
ELIGIBILITY FOR PARTICIPATION:
- Enrolled in any Hawaii public, private, or home school
- A student in grades 6-12
HOW DO I APPLY?
Step #1. Complete the STEM POSTER CONTEST REGISTRATION FORM.
Step #2. Complete your artwork, affix the ID card to the back of your poster, and submit to our office by March 1, 2024. Please refer to the STEM Poster Contest Instructions for submission details.
