Hawaii Young Investigators

The Hawaii Young Investigators Program (HYIP) is providing funds to support students with their independent research projects for science fair. This program is supported by the generous sponsorship of local STEM enthusiasts. Interested students must submit their mini grant proposal and cost projection by September 30, 2023. Selected awardees will be notified by the end of October.

The 2024 Hawaii and Pacific JSHS

Our annual regional JSHS, formerly known as the Pacific Symposium for Science and Sustainability (PS3), is a two-day enriching experience for young scientists to share their independent research projects, engage with STEM professionals, learn from STEM enthusiasts, and interact with other students. Top placed winners will receive significant scholarships and advance on to compete at the National JSHS in the Spring. Please visit the Hawaii JSHS webpage for more information.

Students in grades 6-12 are eligible to apply. Please visit our art contest webpage for more registration and submission information. Deadline to submit is March 1, 2024.
